Just in case some of you RX8 owners could make it..

Few of us Rotorheads (mainly 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen 7 owners) will be meeting up at Trussville Buffalo Wild Wings (off of I59 exit 141) tomorrow (Saturday 1/13) around 12:30PM.

Please come join us! I think this might be one of the large rotary gathering in Bham.. Few rotorheads from other cities will be coming also.

Well talk about future gatherings, DGRR 07, general car talk, etc etc..

It's off Chalkville Mtn. Rd. If you know where wal-mart or the movie theatre is it is in the back of those parking lots. Get off the exit go left, and turn left at the red light by Chic-fil-a, and it is all the way down at the other end of the parking, just go in between wally world, and the theatre.

Hope I catch someone before the meeting, but if anyone is interested, Wiregrass Region SCCA is holding an autocross tomorrow in south Alabama.

The event is about 3 hours south of you just off U.S. Highway 231. You would travel like going to P.C., and about 5 miles south of Ozark, there is a stoplight in the middle of nowhere with a Texaco station on one corner. That is Dale County Hwy 18. Turn right there and go about 1/2 mile and you see a big airfield on the right where we hold the autocrosses. We get folks from all over the south within several hundred miles.

I would also be interested in buying any stock OEM wheels that anyone wants to part with for $400. You could bring them with. We hold these events every second Sunday of the month. Course is usually set up to walk by 9:30, with driver's meeting at 11 AM. We generally get 6 minute-long runs with free fun runs afterwards. Cost is $20 for non-SCCA members.

My sister wouldn't stop talking about "the really cool rotary cars..." she saw in Trussville Saturday. Nice job guys, hope I can make it out to the next one and be counted among the cool.

Greetings, all! I sure miss being near all the rotaries, but life goes on. I've seen exactly one other RX8 here. Since the lost key fob, and the theft of the air compressor, my sister-in-law backed into the right rear with her Mustang. All this while the car is still in Alabama, with wife working over on hwy 280.

She took the car to Med Center for a routine oil change that wound up costing $90. Looks like I'm back in the oil change business......

The Tennessee Valley RX-8 Club will gather on March 17th to drive up to the jack Daniel's Distillery. Go to www.tvrx8.org for the details. Anyone from the B'ham area is welcome to come. We'll probably go that direction for our April driveout too!
