Hey Ron! Good to hear from you. Give me an idea of what days you'll be around and we'll go with that. I'm starting to see more and more 8's around here too. I just saw a gray one with a Shelby county tag at the parking deck at Brookwood hospital.

What's up locals! I don't think I'll be able to make Thursday, I'm coaching soccer those nights. Its keeping me pretty busy. Maybe next time. Surprised I didn't see any of you guys at the Dragon. I won a couple of door prizes and had a really good time. The Dragon makes you step up you game. "Lose a curve, lose your ride". Congrats on the new Phantom Blue. I hope to see you all soon. Greneda treating you ok Ron? Any of you guys gotten a recall notice yet? I got my warranty extension, but no recall.

I got the recall and warranty notices the same day, about two weeks ago. Almost hate to have them mess with it, since everything is fine with it. The plugs were changed right after we got it, so i guess it'll just be the reflash if needed.

Hey Praxis. Normally I would be all about trying to get folks together. But this Saturday I am heading to Atlanta to go to Six Flags. Run over across the street from Tville Mazda and eat bbq at Jim N Nicks for me.

How is everyone doing these days? I haven't been on here much lately just wanted to drop in and say hello!
I was in Pelham last thursday and seen about 3 other 8's getting off 65 at 119 exit.
I had my recall done thursday. All they had to do was reflash the computer and replace the plugs. At least no new engine like some are. It seems to run alot better and idle is MUCH better.

UltimaLaw- hi! Welcome back to Birmingham! We'll certainly keep you posted on any get togethers.
Screamin'- Hey. Glad the recall worked out. My stupid visor just broke AGAIN! So, I am off to Med Center Saturday for oil change, recall check and to get another (insert curse word here) visor.

I'll be in town for a family visit and have a 9:00 am appt. at MedCenter for the recall, on Tuesday. Anybody wanna grab a bite sometime during the week? Thursday or Friday might work best.

hey all. i'm back in montgomery now from my training in atlanta. may be able to make a few events but they will have to be on saturday.
just a side note. driving home one evening and about a mile from my apartment, i can no longer shift into 3rd gear. took it to the mazda place and i ended up having to get a new transmission. never run my car hard, race it, or anything like that. heck, i've only put 2000 miles on it in the past 6 months (riding motorcycle to work).
thought i was gonna have trouble since i have a few mods on the car but an open ticket from when i had a factory spoiler added showed how little i drive the car. plus metal flakes went everywhere when the tranny was drained so failure was coming, it was just a matter of when.
anyone else had or heard of this problem?

Hey all! I took my car to Med Center last weekend for the recall check. No problems. They just did the re-flash. I can tell a difference (good) in the crank and idle. It cranks a lot stronger and idles smoother. And I won the raffle for a free oil change, tshirt and other Mazda stuff. Cool.
Ron: I'm sorry to miss you this visit. I wont be able to make it Thursday or Friday. Hope you've enjoyed being back in the 'Ham and seeing family. Maybe next time!
Mmats69: yes, it seems like I've come across people with the same issue. That sucks. At least you caught it and got it fixed.

I'm glad i'm not the only one with the problem. I hate it that others have had it but at least i'm not alone in this battle.
Glad to see that everyone is doing well. Congrats on the free prizes L-Co!

Mjones: No, so far no issues with the temp. I do wish that it would do better when set to blow on face/feet. I have to run mine on the face setting just to stay cool. It wimps out when you change it to face/feet.
