It is only worth $40k if someone loves the car,and the paint. It hasn't sold for that price. Just sayin. I wouldn't want something I didn't like no matter how much it was worth.

I hrt the Rx8 plus winning would make it a "free" car
I know a great paint/body guy that could have fixed my dislikes
car would be perfect with a little more of a subtle approach.

There was the guy that "won" the BP/Pettit Racing RX8. It was valued at $60K. He had to sell it to pay for the taxes.

It had to be shipped back and fourth for paint, it was also driven from the dealership, car has 1,000 miles on it. Sorry if you think its bs. This mazda crowd is a little tough lol!

I dont have to sell it for the taxes or for anything.

Basically im a Porsche fan, if i can sell it for good money i will, if not i will keep it and drive it. I was going to buy a porsche but wanted to see if i won the car first. To be honest i havent even driven the car, so may be i will like it. For now it will sit in my garage. May be i will become a mazda fan, i have been looking at spec miatas as well to race along with my kart.

The reason why i am putting it up for sale is may be someone who is a fan of the car would like a one off car like this (and yes it can be reproduced) that chip foose help design and dempsey racing was part of.

I don't doubt it has $1,000.00 miles on it I just doubt it has a $1,000.00 miles going back and forth to paint. The paint job is pretty simple and there is no custom bodywork from what I can see soooo......

Where are the pics? From what i see it doesn't look much like the sketch Foose did. Why is it worth $40,000.00?

Nice looking car. Good luck with the sale, but if I may be so bold as to give some advice...

Drive it a bit. It's an easy car to fall in love with. I've been in the process of tinkering with mine for some time now, so I often drive my brother's Porsche Carrera 4S (1997) when my car is being worked on. It's a fine piece of machinery, and I have a lot of respect for Porsche, but I'd always pick my RX8 given a choice.

Perhaps I am an irredeemable RX8 fanatic, but give the car a shot. It's heaven in the twisties and back roads.

That said, I'm sure its not for everyone, and if you find the car is not for you, then sure, let it go. But this paint job is gorgeous and its got a nice look to it.
