Hello,

I have a very very good garage kept velocity red RX 8 with less than 50 miles Brand New Turblown Turbo kit that was hand built by Elliot.




























I want to sell this car fo $10,000. If you ask why I am selling the car so cheap. The turbo kit itself with adaptronic ECU cost near $9000. The car is running but we ran into engine issue during tuning. The engine compression wasn't good as we kept tuning the car. The engine has esmeril seals but somehow it seems the seal buckled during the tuning when engine got very hot during high load runs. There were no detonation during tuning. Engine may have low comresson to begin with and it magified the issue during tuning. My wife is expecting and I have no business in spending money on the car and it is best that I sell it as is.

Note: The oil pressure gauge and Innovate O2 sensor wasn't hook up at the time of the photograph.

Car is drivable but will need engine work. It starts on its first crank every time. If you have skill and time to work on engine. All it takes is tuning the car and it ready to go.

I have new priority in life and I have to sell it.

since you mentioned it---it would help a lot if you could post up some compression numbers or at least some vacum readings?

 

Vacuum reading at cold engine is around -18 to20.

Once engine warm it drops to -12 to -15 or so.

Car still running and starting on 1st crank.

 

thats not bad.

 

Who built the motor?

 

Christ of Esmeril built it. He is a friend of mine live near me.

I want to sell the car, not pieces of it. Car needs more tuning and someone with good knowledge of engine can get it to runs properly. I do not have tme or money to work on the car anymore.
