Zaino Newbie Needs Help....
Hey Everyone,
I am a car waxing fanatic but until today, I'd never heard of Zaino... (can you believe how deprived I am?)
Where can I find it?
How much does it cost?
How long does it take to apply?
website?
I tried surfing the threads for all of this info and did not have much luck...
Any and all Help would be GREATLY appreciated!

All you answers are there. IMO, it is good, but it is an expensive (`$80) solution. For now I favor Meguires NXT.

Fist detail could take 4+ hours easy depending if you need to claybar the car. I would suggest only claybaring the areas that do not feel silky smooth and flat. You will prob. do the dawn wash, clay bar, regular wash, then the z5 and then z6. That is the minimum.
The starter kit has it all. There is no magic to doing this although it may sound hard, it is easy but takes time. You wont screw up.

The first time will easily take 4 hrs, however, some of that time is 'drying' time, in other words, time you are not doing anything.
Once you have the initial coat(s) of Zaino on your car, the maintenance is VERY low, and subsequent applications are a breeze. Zaino will outlast any wax, it will stay optically pure (doesn't yellow) and is easy on the arms.
True, the INITAL cost might seem high, but since so very little product is used, it lasts a very long time, so the actual cost (over time) is quite small.
I can put two coats of Zaino on the RX-8 AND a Miata with just 2 ounces of Z2. Try using that little of Meguiers, Zymol, etc...
After 30 years of using waxes for keeping my cars detailed (and I am a fanatic), I have yet to find a product with all the advantages of Zaino, without the usual disadvantages.
A good quality wax will last 2-3 months TOPS before the car will either start to 'dull' or just not look as glossy. You can get 6-8 months with Zaino, without any loss of reflectivity or 'dulling'. In fact Zaino does not get dull.
FWIW - I am in no way affiliated with Zaino.

I took me 5.5 - 6 hours for 3 coats of wax. That included dawn wash, clay bar, 2 coats of Z5 and Z2 at the end...
but it looks fantastic even 2+weeks later.
