well, it happened

Some ******* scraped up my car, and didn't leave a note (of course). It happened in the parking garage where I keep it. Judging by the height of the scratches, it looks like it was an SUV... big surprise there. Why do people insist on buying oversized cars to drive in the city, especially when they can't drive them for ****?

I assume this is something that I'm going to want a professional to take care of? I've got a layer of klasse all-in-one and two layers of klasse sealant on there - it is possible that the wax is actually making it look worse? I'm thinking if I'm gonna shell out to re-paint this, I should go all the way and have all the tiny chips in the hood fixed and then get a damned clear bar put on.

This sucks

damn that sucks. You could dry having it buffed out. I did that once before on a previous car and it worked well.

If that doesnt work... instead of repainting it... maybe just get a whole new bumper. I'm not sure if the OEM ones come painted, like the MS ones do.

I think it might actually buff out - do you think anyone who could repaint it would also be able to buff it? My dealership works with a mobile paint guy who comes by and does **** like this - I was going to do that because that way I can get a loaner car. I suppose I'll just ask them about buffing it too.

Buying a new bumper is an interesting idea. Seems like major overkill, but maybe it's actually the way to go. I'd get the mazdaspeed one if it wasn't so low to the ground - seattle is just too hilly to have any less ground clearance than I already do.
