Scratches on stereo faceplate

Does anyone know if I can use Meguiars Scratch-X on the faceplate or maybe some Novus plastic scratch remover? I have a small abrasion on the shiny part.

That's a good question.

I haven't attempted that one, yet but I did try to polish to a spare set of window and lock switches. They did alright except for the little window lock button, as the white stencil started to fade off.

Is the piano black area painted to give the deep glossy black look?

get some Meguiars PlastX(should find it a your local walmart or parts store.
It works great on instrument panals, stereo faceplates(I would try it on a Navigation screen though.
Just put a dab on a "Quality" micro fiber towel and gently run in back and forth motions. It really does work!
To maintain it use Plexus plastic polish. The plexus isnt agressive enough to actually polish the scratches out, but its a good plastic cleaner.
