Must resist urge... to eat my Z7 carwash
So im taking an inventory of my Zaino products and see what i nee to order more of, and just because im a dork i open up my Z7 (plenty left) and take a wiff, and damn me for thinking "hey i wonder what it would taste like?"
To me it literally smells like candy.... but seeing as how im 24 years old, I figured it wouldnt be smart to taste it.

My first ever Zaino products are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I guess I'll have to wait one more day to see what all the excitement is about. It's all Jedi54's fault! Damn him!!!

I'm going to order mine soon. How long does it take for delivery? I think I'm going to order:
ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive
Z-2 Polish
Z-5 Swirl Remover
Z-6 Polish Shine
Z-7 Car Wash
I would buy the kit that has everything... but claybarring sounds too easy to screw up and scratch the hell out of my car... so I'm going to avoid it altogether and not do it.

Zaino is a real time killer. I'm due for my next wax, and I'm thinking of just using a finishing pad with the porter cable to see how that works out, but maybe not necessarily Zaino.
This guy used a paint cleaner with the PC and only used two coats of Finish Kare 1 products just like that, no complicated steps like Zaino.
Same dude who worked on the black kitted rx8....except he used 'Acrylic Jett' by hand and machine polished a Primer before waxing.
Both processes may not cost as much time as Zaino. Right now I'm trying to figure out which product willl work better with my velocity red. Or I'll just stick to Zaino, and see how good the shine gets with Z-2/ZFX on a finishing pad.

to the dude who said claybarring is going to screw something up?
as long as you wash EVERY square inch of your car with dish detergent... and then go at it with a claybar and make extra sure not to drop it on the ground you really cant screw it up. I was skeptical at first about doing it, but everything they say is true, you can "feel" it smoothing out the surface, and when you go back over a "claybarred" area, you really can feel that its like a hockey puck gliding on ice. Time consuming, but well worth it.
Nothing is too good for my 8!

No way, that would be once a week. I do put a coat on probably once every 2 months though, not becuase it needs it to keep the water beading, but just to satisfy my desire to have the best protection on the paint.
I do however use a quick detailer when I am drying the car every week.

The hardest thing to use properly is the gloss spray. I like to spray the crap out of my car with it. That's why I buy two of them for every bottle of zaino wax.

Well my Zaino arrived today. And yes I must agree it smells good enough to eat. But I'll refrain for now.
I've spent the last 20 minutes or so reading and re-reading the instructions. Looks like I'll have to keep this weekend free so I can try it out. Wish me luck!

Well I'm a Zaino newb! So I'm just trying to get a general idea of how it works and the different steps involved. I'm sure most first time users did the same. But I'm real **** retentive when it comes to keeping my car clean. I'm sure over time the more I use it the better and quicker I'll get.

My Ultimate kit arrived yesterday. Now I just need it to get warm enough to wash the car so I can apply it. I have a Sunlight Silver, and my goal is to make the car so shiny it's a hazard to navigation when the sun is out.

Zaino Leather Stuff
Have any of you used the Z9 and Z10 on the vinyl dash? They recommend it, but I would like to hear some experiences before I dive into it. My Ultimate kit should be here soon. We'll see how it does on the 13 year old MR2 as well as the new RX8!
Ron
Follow-up May 16:
Used both in the RX8 interior, and works great. Got rid of those dirt marks from shoes (careless sis-in-law), and the oil stains from fingers on controls, etc. Time will tell how long it lasts. Looks great now! And the 13 year old white paint on the MR2 has never shined better. Prior wax was Zymol.

Raptor2K,
This 8 belongs to my friend.
1st, you did not ask permission of the owner to post the picture of his ride.
2nd, you did not ask permission from the photographer to use his picture.
3rdly, which really irks me is you rip off the picture from another thread and post a whole load of crap to proof ???.
The owner didn't even reveal the exact details of the whole process
and has never mentioned the words "Acrylic Jett", "Finish Kare" "paint cleaner" or "primer".
FYI, this picture was taken in Singapore which I doubt you have ever been
or even know where's the place.

BlackEight,
This is neither the time nor the place to to make such accusations. If you have a problem with someone posting a picture of something that was already posted on a PUBLIC forum then take it up with them via a PM.
Do not hijack this thread.

As far as I'm concerned if you post a picture on a PUBLIC forum it becomes "fair game" for others. The original poster should be honored to have their picture posted and re-posted IMO. And yes like Jedi54 said if you feel the owner of the photo doesn't want it re-posted then inform him via PM and let HIM handle it .
