Hi folks! I'm getting ready for another brutal, cold and wet winter here (even though its July). Anyway, I've heard a TON of great things about Zaino but won't be purchasing it cause I hate ordering things online. To make this post simple, the only thing im wondering is....

Do all Car Wax's PROTECT the same? I could care less if it reflects like a mirror, what I need is something that will protect the car through rain sleet and snow, and last all winter long. I use Meguires (sp?) but most of the products I look at don't mention how effective they are to holding up against the elements. So are all car wax's the same when it comes to protection?

NXT...and NXT booster wax.

 

No, all waxes do not protect the same. NXT will not last you all winter long without another application. If you keep up the NXT booster wax bi-weekly throughout the winter, you might nurse it through.

If you want something that will last through the winter without having to be "touched up" at various periods throughout the winter, try Klasse All in One, followed by a couple layers of Klasse Sealant Glaze. Klasse and Zaino have the longest durability. If you apply either of them in Sept. or Oct., you will not have to worry about your car being protected until Spring, even if you don't wash it at all through the winter.

SLiM8 is right - Meguiar's #26 is good stuff.

Meguiar's #16 has a reputation for great durability from a carnauba wax. If you're looking for something that's more readily available in the stores, looks great, and lasts a long time, #16 would be my recommendation.

 

I don't think Zaino counts as a wax anyway.

 

rejex I hear is the strongest polymer. And from what i hear it cures as hard as a rock.
So give them a try it should last 4-5 months as they say and it takes 12 hours to cure i say put 2 applications on

Rupes, I live in Strongsville and went to BG so I know how hard those winters are! I now use NXT and used the #26 wax before that came out. Seems to work well. Do you have a garage or do you have to keep it outside?

I have Meguires wax, but its "Meguires(sp) Gold" i think, I've never heard of all these #26 or #16 or NXT, I'll have to look for this next time im in the store.

Here are a couple pics of the #16 and #26 waxes, so at least you know what you're looking for. I don't know if you'd find these in Wal-Mart. You'd probably have to go to an auto store.

I waited a month before doing the booster and it really works.
Wished I had used the booster sooner.
