Water Spots? Help?

Hey all, just washed my black 8 2 days ago and after taking about 7/8 of the water off with the "duster" (rubber thing with plastic handle that u just put on car and drag water off) and then attempted to take a black towel and dry the rest of the water.. no luck.. it just left ugly streaks. I repeatedly attempted to dry it with the towel.. no luck.. just ugly streeks.

today there are water spots all over the back of it and on the sides.. looks absolutely horrible.. i thought i had a black car.. looks gray :-/.

Its quite cold here.. (delaware) but please please help!

What do i do? Is there a better way to dry it?

(O yea and yesterday night it rained, and today it had spots ALL OVER IT!)

hit it with some Zaino Z6 spray after you dry it.
works wonders.

Mequiar's Quik Detailer or Quik Wax sprays work well for that too. They're not as good as Zaino, but they're cheaper, and available at local stores (auto parts stores, or even like Target, Wal-Mart, etc.)

Personally, I use Zaino now, but I used to use the Meguiar's stuff, and it worked well. Again, not as well as Zaino...

And, unless you live in an area with NO atmospheric contaminants... dust, pollen, pollution, etc., then every time it rains, your black 8 will end up with spots on it. The dust and such from the air collects on the beads of water on the car; as they dry, they leave the dust behind as spots. It happens on all cars, just more visible on black cars.

Check out this thread on washing a black car:

I am still using the leaf blower, and Z6 to get the car as dry and clean as possible.
