After using it a couple of times I dont like this stuff that much anymore. It does provide unbelievable shine but like LionZoo said the protective aspect of it is questionable, and it is such a bitch to whip out ( although easy to apply). I mainly use NXT wax now with a wax session with the ICE every now and then for extra shine.

Speaking of Turtle ICE wax... it seems they gave up with a liquid Clay bar under the ICE series.. anyone going to give it a shot? as soon as I find one locally I think Im going to try it out.

ice will not dry unless it is very hot outside. also when taking it off you have to use aleast two micro fiber towels. this product is loaded with oil, so it is important to use micro fiber, as anything else will just smear the finish. it will give you a wet look which i like and it's great for all the trim.. waxing is harder and richer look, but ice is alot less muscle to remove..

I picked some up at Costco. It is $19.49 for a 16 oz. Ice liquid polish bottle, a 16 oz. Ice spray deailer and a microfiber towel and sponge applicator.

So I should not use the sponge applicator? What should I use? A microfiber towel?

use the same applicator that you would use for waxing , a cotton app. will work. remember your going to need more then one micro towel to remove all the oil. you should also have used less then an 1/2oz. by the time you've finished. even if you do it twice, you should have the whole car rubbed down in about 30 min.

NXT wax in the morning followed by ice in the afternoon, it took over an hour to haze as the car was in the shade.

I done it yesterday, today I went over it with the ice detailer & it looks even better

shines up good but it's no wax. does not protect like wax. more like a detailer/polish. i use it between waxes and after waxes. adds a nice, wet shine. also, you can use it on the unpainted, matte, parts and the dash! good stuff, but not wax...

From all the posts and research, it does sound like something you'd put over a wax more than a substitute for it.

i've been using ice instead of wax. only because i'm too lazy to do a good wax job.
so in the mean time ice is easy to apply. and even tho you have to wipe the car down more then twice to remove the swirl marks, it's still easier to take off then wax.
but i still need a good wax job. maybe i could get jedi to let me have his left over zaino..

Jedi would make a killing Zaino'ing folks' cars! He'd make almost as much as that British cat that does high-end super cars! Sh!et, I'd pay Jedi $200 to do my car with 7 layers of Zaino like he does his...

i made the mistake of straying from zaino a few weeks ago thinking i could get similar results for less time/money using a ton of Meguiar's stuff.... its not horrible stuff, its just once you have used Zaino EVERYTHING else is pure **** (relative).

This weekend im going to be doing about 5 zaino coats (3 of Z5, 2 of Z2) for one sexy *** shine.

I've read that Zaino has a shelf life. Is that why you Zaino nuts are always laying down multiple coats?

I donno much about detailing, so I bought all 4 product from ICE. 1)ICE car wash, 2)ICE liquid clay bar, 3)ICE synthetic paste polish and 4)ICE synthetic spray detailer.

i read from earlier post about the procedures, Ngo said
wash, wax..
wash, spray
wash, spray..

so, does it mean i gonna use ICE product like that the following? 1, 2 and 3? then the next wash will be 1, 2 and 4? until i wanna polish again, then go back to 1, 2 and 3? so can i do the following? 1, 2, 3 and 4?

can i use it on my carbon fibre hood and fender? can i use 2 and 3 on hyper silver rim?

thanks for help.

I am 99.99% sure you can use ICE on carbon fiber. And most CF hoods and stuff have a clear coat so you can use most wax on it anyways. ICE can also be used on rubber trim and plastic pieces as well.
I just bought the ICE kit with microfiber towel and applicator for $14 at PepBoys. Gonna try it tonight

Just washed and then ICE'd my Ti Grey. It was so freaking hot out today that after I buffed her and took a nap. So I took the pics roughly 2 hours after finishing her and some dust and crap had settled on her already. I don't think I let it setup long enough as I didn't get as deep of a shine as I was expecting, but still damn good for a Ti.

Works super good on the plastic trim of the rear bumper and inside on the dash, too. Makes tailights and headlights look new! The only thing I don't like it the setup time (not the 3-5 min it says on the bottle) and the KY oily feel it has. Makes using the applicator rather difficult.

Since I don't have a driveway/garage (in a few weeks I shall!) and washed her at those you-wash stalls and spent 18 minuets and laid down a base coat of wax for extra water resistance. It doesn't rain much in Phoenix so I'm not too worried anyways.

One bottle deff goes a long ways. I imagine I will get over 20 applications from the one bottle. At $14 for the bottle w/applicator and microfiber cloth that's less than a dollar per application. Good bang for the buck.

Nice pictures. You can actually see the metallic flakes in the paint. I'm still on the fence for the ICE. The look is good, but most say it doesn't last very long.

no it doesn't last long at all. But it gives prolly the best shine and wet look next to Zanio and its cheap.

I am now using it exclusively on plastic trim and head/taillights. It litterally makes them look new.

i still keep my bottle of turtle wax ice and use it on all the exterior black trims. works great for that.

on the paint though, it never looked quiet as good as another OTD favorite, nxt. application is way easier though and it's good for a time budget waxing.

Exactly! But I still would not touch the stuff.

For my VR I use PoorBoy's EX-P(sealant) and then topped it off with Natty's Paste Wax Blue(for use on darker colored cars) for that deep paint finish. Nothing can compare.
