I was washing my car at local car wash, later that day I noticed little water droplets (look like it anyway) on the windshield. Wiper didnt get them off.... when the light hits them at night it blinds me.

I think it's wax, anyone know of a easy way to get it off. I tried windex w/ ammonia, still there....

 

Probably small chips in the glass. The RX8 windshield seems to chip pretty damn easily.

 

It is tree sap. I bet you live on the east coast. Somewhere in the mid-Atlantic region. In the spring some of the trees drip little, translucent drops of sap from their leaves. It comes off with a little water and soap and elbow grease.

 

i've got some windshild chips that look like round bubbles. That's what it sounds like you're describing. They're small and out of the way, so I don't notice it.

 

If it's tree sap, the best way to get it off is olive oil. Works wonders on sap, and it's a lot safer to use than turpentine.

 

No, they arn't chips, they cover the whole windshiled..

I'll try the olive oil thing... usually my windshield is covered in pollen in the morning, so it could be sap.

 

rubbing alcohol or top shelf vodka works wonder on tree sap

 

Clay bar your windshield, that should take off any goo or junk that is diffusing the light and blinding you.

 

Water spots, possibly. Try diluted white vinegar.

I have had sap on mine and have got it off by washing it. Mine has hundreds of tiny chips in it. If I had the money I would probably buy a new windshield.
