haha. it is true that you will notice zero difference between the two unless you are a professional detailer.

I use the poor man's buffer: a powered drill/screwdriver and attached a buffer to it

I'm going to polish&wax half of my car with my polisher, and the other half with NGO's porter cable to see if there is a noticable difference.

just in power, pc 7424 has 3.7amps, the one i got has 4.2 amps. a 20% increase in power, and also more standard features. such as standard velcro backing plate, something that is an option for the pc.
