Tryed washing them with everything under the Sun and it still wont come off
I want to use something that will not hut the OEM wheels.

Depends on what brake pads you are using. A lot of them corrode clear-coat.

If thats the case then lots of elbow grease and then wax the hell out of them.

 

what exactly is on them? brake dust? glue from the weights?

 

I use water and a towel. But then again, I do it every other week so it doesn't stick really hard.

 

yeah some form of a medium polish followed by a fine one, then wax and then sealant, and then keep them clean.

Claybar. I use "used" claybar for windows and wheels. They pick up metallic fallout without a problem so it works great on wheels.

 

Have you tried using simple green, heard it works well with dirty wheels.

 

i tried windex and i liked the results, didnt hurt the wheels at all..makes them all purtyyyy

Remember that the wheels are painted so don't use anything that you wouldn't use on the body of the car. I'd think I'd go with a good wheel cleaner and if that doesn't work then try claying and remember to give it a good waxing.

I usually use a foaming wheel cleaner, spray it on and wait a minute and then wipe it off. Usually takes of anything even on my summer tires that had brake dust sit on them during the winter months last year.

I dont know how good you can see it its dark out, but its on there good. Tryed using tire/wheel cleaner but nothing. And I dont want to rub the wheel to hard and scratch them up or stain them.

 

^^+1 for using simple green. it takes oil off easily as well as dust.

 

Try some distilled vinegar diluted in water.

 

Screw it, just polish it off with Meguiars Scratch-X by hand...

 

Oem wheels are painted surfaces and should be treated just like the paint on your car. Use a claybar to remove tar and brake crap. you could also use a polish to make your life easier. and definitely keep them waxed so they stay cleaner longer.
