Dust on body?

What can I do about the dust that seems to accumulate on the exterior of the car a couple days after I cleaned/waxed it? It's not that it's dirty and needs to be washed, but wiping the exterior with a towel just seems to spread the dust and make dust swirl marks. Any suggestions?

Here's a thread from a while back on car dusters: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ifornia+duster

Should be safe, especially on a fresh wax job, since at worst you might put some light swirls in the wax.

Yeah, I imagine the trick is not letting it build up, so that it gets picked up by the duster instead of pushed across the paint.

I've got a small one that I use specifically for the rims. I use it every night.

I use a Kozak. www.kozak.com . I have one for the body and when that gets dirty I use that one for the wheels and rotate in a new one.

I usually spray some Meguiar's Quick Detail on my car and wipe it with a microfiber towel and that'l make it look like it's just been washed -- if you don't let the dust build up that is. I can usually quick detail my car in about 5 minutes and it looks great.

**********all of the above*********

use extreme caution when doing so....over time the small microscratches might build up... Those dusters normally work good for the first couple days after washing your car...

If it is heavy dust wash it. Light dust a California Duster will work, use gently. Then follow up with a quick detail spray of your choice, NXT, Meguire's, Mother's, my2cent....

OXO makes a nice car duster which has a rubberized handle that won't harm your paint if you drop it. It works very well.

It's called pollen. It happens in the spring. Just wash your car every week and in a month or so it'll all be over.
