Uh, I don't know what car you're driving, but I wouldn't exclude the 90+ mph range from the typical driving speed for drivers on this board. (see red's speeding ticket for a recent example).

I've hit a buzzard in a truck doing 70 and it didn't come into the cab and the truck wind shield is much steeper than that car.... don't get me wrong it jacked up the glass but it didn't completely penitrate. I'm just sayin there is no way that car was doing less than 90. Simple physics.

I never said that 90 wasnt normal, but when the avg. person thinks of haulin ***, they think 80+. Don't you watch the news? When they say "high speed pursuit.." and then the words speeds in excess of "80mph", I just laugh...have you ever driven on the connector in Atlanta? I know cops who dont pull people over til they exceed 83mph. Try that in VA where anything over 80 is wreckless driving....

that's gross? lol. but i guess some of us do have stronger stomachs than others

. anyways......when i was in traffic school back when i was 15 to get my driver's permit, they told me that i SHOULD hit the animal to avoid an accident. Guess that's not always true now

Edit:
from looking at the pix again, i'd hate to be the driver, or the passenger on the driver's side. they got the blunt end of the deer spatter. but then the pix do show that there was no passenger behind the driver. And what's that red thing next to the soda bottles behind the driver's seat? is that the deer's stomach or something?
