Black Magic Liquid Wax - thoughts?

Just wondering if anyone has used Black Magic Liquid Wax. It is less than $6 a bottle at the local Walmart.

It seems to get good reviews from users and from CR.

I guess it has excellent gloss, durability and is kind to plastic. It seems to take a bit of extra buffing to get out though.

i bought some at my last visit to walmart. i washed with the turtle wax ice, but was too tired to wax after drying. i'm going to use it next wash and i'll post some pics.

i used the black magic leather cleaner/protector wipes on the inside leather, and they worked great.

Also, the black magic wheel cleaner was outstanding. easy on, light wipe off. super clean.

I guess no one's used it. Or been passionate enough to respond either way.

There's a thread about it somewhere. Bottom line, the zaino lemmings panned it, everybody else likes it, but it is a pita to work with.

The Zaino lemmings pan everything but Zaino. I hear the shine is good as is longevity but it requires some extra buffing.

Seems to be even less popular than Ice!

did someone say Zaino???? haha, just kidding guys. Although I'm sure most of you know how much I LOVE Zaino, I will admit that I have used Black Magic in the past. (not on the 8 though)

I used it on my last Mazda and I swore by the stuff. It was easy to work with, just make sure you go a section at a time and don't let it start to dry. The Black Magic I used to work with left a great looking shine.

ive been using it since august when i got my Mz3 and its great. Goes on easy comes off easy but leaves a nice shine and lasts a good amount of time. I still think theres better out there like Mothers and Nu-wax (i think thats it).

Will turn out well though =) dont worry about it not looking/working well.

by the way..first post! awesome forums you guys have here...hopefully ill be able to join in other topics once i hunt down an rx8 for myself!!!

heh Zaino Lemming here

I tried "stepping off the high horse" and going with meguiar's top shelf stuff -- didnt work out that well. Nothing tops Zaino :-D

Welcome!

I think this stuff seems to be pretty good for the price and the longevity is good. Might be a good match with Turtle Ice.
