V710 tire pressures-B-stock
Anybody want to share thoughts on the tire pressures they run with their V710's? I know this is subject to change given the surface and temperature, but I am looking for some help. I ran two weeks ago at 35 psi all around. It was generally neutral with no oversteer whatsoever, but there was some understeer (probably iatrogenic in nature). I was considering bumping up the pressures in the front. Does that make sense?
The theory I have read is that with less camber (I am at -1 both sides in front and -1.5 in back) more pressure is needed. I need to get the car to a race-savvy alignment shop, but that is a bit difficult to do in the middle of American Siberia.
And, if anyone wants to share their typical pressures, I would be cool with that. I know I ran much higher pressures with my Mustang, but that was a different animal all together.
Thanks.

With camber settings pretty close to yours, Aaron and I ran 35F/37R at Walnut Ridge Pro. That was with OTS Koni's at full-soft front, full-stiff rear.
At warmer/grippier Ft. Myers Tour, we ran higher pressures and a higher front/rear differential...we seemed to have more push issues there for some reason...bumping up rear pressures helped there (as well as softening the front shocks...we had started running the practice course there at full stiff all around)

Thanks. I was thinking about softening my front shock settings as well. I might end up going up in front and back in terms of tire pressures. Back > front...

I've found the fronts to be relatively insensitive to pressure changes running anywhere from 38-46psi. I tend to favor the higher pressures since it gives a better feel in transitions. Rear pressures are much more sensitive. I've gotten rollover at 37 and it becomes very loose above 42 indicating the contact patch is lifting off. I tyically adjust the rears first for best traction and then use front pressure for balance.

stupid question here.....are the v710 legal in B-Stock??? I thought no R-Compunds? I am new so I don't know much about how the rules are interpreted, but this could definately impact my plans when buying new wheels/tires!

Very cool! I went to the tirerack site after I posted and saw that the v710 were DOT approved....I guess the two grooves count as "measurable tread depth" satisfying the scca rules
