here are the pics/measurements.

1) 'rear' adjuster body (same length as front) is 2.5"
2) closeup of 1
3) new rear adjuster body is 1.5"

a friend of mine and i fitted up the rear AWR endlinks with shorter adjuster bodies (1.5" vs. 2.5") today and found the rod lengths were too long for our liking. the AWR endlink was 4" bolt to bolt. we cut 3/8" off of each rod (1.25" prior to cutting) which netted us an endlink that was 1/4" shorter than stock (3.25" vs 3.5"). it also bought much more clearance from the rear suspension crossmember. i'll add pics later which will illustrate the clearance better than a description could.

in short, if you have a rear adjustable sway bar and want AWR endlinks for the rear, request the following:
1) 1.5" adjuster bodies
2) 7/8" rod arms

If you didn't shorten the rod end...your effective length at full short will not change...It is determined by the length of the rod ends...not the body. All the shorter body will do is limit how long the max lentht would be. You have to shorten the rod ends to get the shorter minimum distance.....

Back from the dead...

Anyone recently ordered the AWR endlinks? If so, was there any issues with the rear? Should we contact them and ask for the adjuster bodies and rod arms?

someone should (or i'll do it myself first most likely...) needs to ping anthony of AWR about the quality of the heim joints in the rod ends. i've found them to be quite clunky.

unfortunately most suppliers use the cheapest POS heim bearings, the really good ones aren't cheap though

the spherical bearings I got with my Speedsource shock mounts can be had for under $10 each and went loose quickly, the ones I replaced them with cost $40 each and are still as tight as new

street use is tough on heims, they will always be high maintenance there

keep in mind the shortened bits i documented earlier in this thread are only necessary for an adjustable rear sway bar on soft which brings the rod ends very, very close the rear suspension crossmember under compression. the AWR endlinks are likely fine in any other application.

also, if you want the shorter adjuster body and rod ends for the rear just say so when you call to order.

no argument from me on that score. i'll just order rod ends with better spherical bearings over the winter. just saying it might be worth a mention to anthony to include better stuff at the outset.

Yep I am well aware, but thanks for pointing that out again. I'll be coupling the endlinks with PT sways. Hence the question.
