I'm curious - The Autox's and track days I've done have had fairly mixed age groups. I'm curious what the average age is here?

 

Might want to throw in 10's too, since I first started autocrossing and doing HPDE back in high school. Though only started getting serious just now, with cash/time/determination (20's).

 

Never had any money to do this until I was in my early 30's. Now, with wife and kids, I am running out of money again and probably won't be able to make a serious run at real racing until I am 54!!! Who am I kidding? Make that 64. By then there might not even be motorsports anymore...

 

24, and i think im one of the youngest ones usually out there.

I think the poll on here is skewed, seeing how you have to figure in the average ages of total RX-8 owners.

 

Oh, and you need to add a 60+ category for TeamRX8...

I started with my permit when i was 15. I'm 19 now. I dont have an option in the poll .

 

16 when I started, 17 now

<20 category is certainly needed

 

in the 20's.... for a little longer.

 

good thing I voted now....being 29, I didn't want to check that 30's box just yet

 

same as the other guy, started when i was 16, now im 17... there definately needs to be a >20.

 

You do need the 60+ not only for Team RX8, but in 3 weeks for me also.

my age isnt even in there! im currently 19.

my first autox was soon after i got my license at 16 in a wrx. i also autoxed a 5.0 mustang, 1.8t jetta, and matrix xrs. id like to autox the 8 but the only track in my state (hawaii) just closed...we'll see where autox goes now =\

 

22, started autocrossing my 97 M3 sedan 5spd a few years ago and then my girlfriends 2000 S2000 last year. Sold the M3 last week and bought the RX8, hoping to start autocrossing that if I can get over the S2000 performance.

 

Does street racing count?
