Race spec engine loom : OEM connectors available?
Hi,
I want to move away from the OEM engine harness (or loom) for our racing sport proto project. We must keep the original sensors and actuators (coils, injectors, solenoid valves).
Are the mating connectors available from someone in the US?
The connectors I'm interested in are :
- IAT/MAFS
- ECT
- injectors
- coils
- SSV/SAP/VDI solenoid valve
Cheers,
Fabrice

Mazda does not sell any loose connectors other than what's shown in the parts fiche. If you find them please let us know. I've been trying to find mating female connectors for plugging into the harness for the coil connectors to no avail. I think your only option is to scavenge the harness off a wreck or purchase it new (ouch$$$)
one of the jpn tuners sells, or used to sell, an aftermarket coil kit and it included an adapator harness that plugs into the OE coil connectors and then into the relocated aftermarket coils. So obviously the connector I'm looking for exists. More than likely it's a japanese product, which unfortunately makes it tough for us to find and purchase.

^^ I'm worried it might be like the Honda Civic-R engine loom connectors, that NOBODY can get in Europe, even racing loom manufacturers and the guy who builds race spec engines for Honda Europe. Only solution then is to buy a OEM loom and scavenge it.
Thanks again for your reply Team, you're always helpful.
