Yes they do rent cars and its anywhere from 400 euro to 1500 euro a day plus gas and lap tickets.

My fastest time is 8:39 and my car is lightly modded. I'm going to finally put all my suspension parts and other stuff I have laying around on the car in the winter. I'm getting to the point that I feel I'm overdriving my setup so hopefully i can get lower times next year.

Cool......what is your recommendation for someone just visiting that region for a few days.....and wanting a go for the ring....

I think your time is fantastic considering that 8 min used to be the benchmark for supercars and your 8 is lightly modded.
Hope to see you reach the 8 min mark.......

Cheers

Interesting... how did you measure the time? I say this because is not possible to run a complete lap, so how did you measure?

I've been wanting to rent a new M3 to run but I think you have to be 30 for that. I'll try to find you some links to help you decide.

It is possible to run a full lap on open track, I just ran 20 laps one day last month on the full track. On the track day I had forgot my lap timer since I was rushed to get to the track since I found out about it a few hours before it started.

My 8:39 was from the overhead bridge at the start to the overhead bridge at the end before the long stretch.

Ok, now I understand, so I think my time was not too bad...

It was 9:10 aprox. in the same split but I started pulling after the overhead bridge (my speed under the overhead bridge was 50km/h aprox.)... and I stopped pulling after the last corner (my speed under the last overhead bridge was 132km/h aprox.) it was my first and only time (5 laps in 2 days) to enter the ring so I think is a good time, what do you think?

Some info of the driftbox...
Max. Speed: 195,79km/h in Schwedenkreuz I think (it was descent)
Max. Lateral G: 1,499
Max. Accel G: 0,787
Máx. Deccel G: 0,912

Incredible circuit, the best! Once you try itm other circuits becomes boring...

I hope next year I could go again... 1500kms from my home....

Thats a good time for your first time on the track, that 8:39 is what I ran last nov. When I ran Sunday my times were around the 8:39 but there was alot of traffic and bikes were like a swarm of bees every time on the track.
My top speed on sunday was 232 km/h at the end of Schwedenkreuz, and that was the first time I ever remember going that fast through there.

You wear the helmet if you want, because this circuit is not a circuit... it is a "road", so the car must be street legal, slicks not allowed, it must have lights, insurance...

You can over take only on the right, and I still go out every time and try to beat my time.
