What are you guys using for the oil part of the equation?

The Green site says to use 'only their Green Filter Oil', seems like the K&N stuff would do the same thing. No?

you have no way of knowing the compatability effectiveness, either use the recommended product or proceed at your (and possibly your engine's) own risk

Thanks! I agree but I was being lazy. C&H doesn't sell the oil, so by the time I buy from two vendors and add shipping it wasn't such a good deal.

But, pre-oiled works (not that I'll wait 50K to clean it!)

Hmm, 4bucks...the way the dollar is these days, I don't think I would even waste any time feeling bad about that one...

is there significant risk by using the Green filter as my primary filter or should I use a oem/k&n as daily driver and the green for events?

I here some ticking noise at high rpms with the green. Now, I know what knock sounds like as I have had it in my other cars and the sound is a bit different. Im going to try and put the stocker back and see if it continues.

They are in SD and can bring it to the event for you, if they have it in stock. Yesterday I got a cleaning kit from them, great price.
