Out Of Gas At 8500 Rpm

Dude, this is NOT funny. My car went on track and when I was coming out of the final corner at about 85 or so... should be about 8500 rpm or so... MAN it CHOKED!!!!! I felt as if I hit the rev meter..... well it choked once.. that's all .. sorry 8

BUT ONE IMPORTANT THING, the amber light didn't come on while I was on the track. It came on after I got off the track and stopped for about 5 mintues. And before I went onto my 25 minutes lap session.. I had about 1/4 tank left. So... warning.. don't go out onto track even fi you have little over 1/4 tank left. NO NO NO NO dun GO ONTO THE TRACK.. GO FILL UP THE TANK.. OR 1/2 AT LEAST

my track milage was 7 mpg =)
I tihnk some other dude got the same as me.

smoked a lot of cars. Got a lot of respect for our RX8's!! Beat two evos with 340 whels and 360 wheels (okay the kick me in the straight but in the turns.. woohoo) .. kicked lots of vettes same thing with the evos, I kikced them in the turns..

RX8 is great. love it. I was going to give in into the turbo 4wd .. well.. after today.. no no no

oh and also.. surprisingly... I was able to keep up with 330CI on straights with no problem.. and some other performance cars that I thought would definitely kick me in the straights.. no doubu its tough for the 8 on straights, but it was fast enough to not lose much

*clap clap* good job mazda!!

There was also no break fade on the car, I was really surprised. Well, I did a little tap with the left foot on the brake 300 ft before the braking point to get rid of any bubbles in the brake fluid, but still I didn;t feel any brake fade at all. My friend in his 330 had brake fade!!
woohoo

The 8 is relativly light for its brakes (in comparison the the beemer)

As for fuel starvation - as been discussed before, under 1/4 tank on track is a bad idea.
