Noob 8 Auto X.
I'm slowly getting back into the Auto X. I come from a Miata background. I'm looking for the hot street able set up on the 8. I contacted Ground Control about a set of coil over springs for us as they make them for every other rx ever made. sadly they dont think there is much of a market for us. So now I want fluids Eibachs but want to do things one at a time.
On the miata the hot set up was to run no rear bar and a really stiff front bar. Is this true for the 8?
I am trying to do things one at a time as im also trying to get a house this fall. what would be the first step toward better handeling on our allready out standing 8s?
A stiff front bar for the kung fu like grip? Much stiffer lowering springs? new dapaners (thinking koni yellows)? I know I know better tires got it. I cant do it all at the same time.
If i did it all at the same time I would sooner spend the cash on a good set of mono tube double adjustable dampners with custom spring rates trust me.
So far my thoughts are such.... much stiffer front sway FTW. I really want the springs fluid will be offering but worry about the state of my dapaners.
Your thoughts Please!

A good start would be telling us what class you want to run in.
If you're looking at springs and such, then you're probably leaning towards STX/U. If you are, there's not a lot of consistency yet. Lots of experimentation going on there.

for B Stock, all you really need are Koni Sport shocks, Kumho or Hoosier DOT race tires and
an alignment. with the Koni shocks you do not need a big front bar.
if you want to go to coil-overs, check out the STX thread in this forum.
like Mr. P said, it would help to know which class you have in mind.
