Just because you spent 2 grand on it doesn't make it look good nor does it make it fast. You just made it look stupid and and made it heavier with all the chrome Pep Boys style modifications and adding heavy wheels.

So basically you spent 2 grand to make it look like garbage and make it slower.


Might try making up your mind, because all the modifications I see are a step in the wrong direction if you want to make the car better prepped for the track.

What is your race history? To get sponsors you need good results on your record, you need to know the right people and you need to have good exposure at local and regional events. None of which it sounds like you have at the moment.


Just because you can drive recklessly on public roads doesn't mean ****. This isn't Initial D. I invite you to go to a local NASA or SCCA event, get on the track and see how ridiculously slow you really are.


You need to learn more about your own car as well if you're going to get into tracking the car.


These modifications aren't really necessary if you're just getting into participating at track events. Your money will be better spent getting out on the track and getting experience in the drivers seat. If you keep changing the car all the time it will hinder you from becoming a better driver anyways. And my guess is if you're begging for a way to get "sponsored" and think that 2 grand is a lot, you can't afford these parts anyways. Clutch and flywheel is like 1 grand and a turbo kit is about 7 grand after it's all said and done.

I just spent another couple hundred on parts, and i think i have spent enough that i could of use it to buy me another rx8.

and now the only sponsor is "myself", this world is so not fuxking fair, i need a sposnor, like right now!

You should check out ID10TANGO for a sponsorship though. They'd pick you right up.

 

A sponsor wants to get value for the money they put forth. Are you going to be "racing" in a spectator attended series? Will there be TV and press coverage? What about you? Do you have a winning background?
All of these go to how much or even if you get sponsorship. Sponsor money is tight in the best of times. These ain't it.

Best way to get a sponsor is represent what you would do for them. It's just like if you were looking for a female. You pick the one that will do the most for you.

Worn engine with 120k miles and 60psi of compression
K&N typhoon intake with electric supercharger
ACT flywheel and stage II clutch
Megan racing\d2 coilovers with cut springs to be moar lower
BBK on stock pads
Ebay exhaust and midpipe
Replica wheels with road tyres.
Ebay bodykit with ebay wing for extra downforce.

Sounds legit... i'd sponsor that. Forza motorsport, gran turismo and fast and furious ruined the car world.
