the biggest issue i see is making someone believe your car is worth or better than all the other 8s out there and compared to big shops or race teams that are all over the place. I guess you have not looked around here much? most of these are not sponsered and they pay to play. Save your pennies and dreams, because the reality of it is chances are slim. Every penny in my car came out of my pocket and i dont concider it to be the best looking out there.

I dont think jealous is the word. Plus the fact you keep saying i think, i think you need to understand it what a potential sponser would think and based on the comments said i see a issue. lastly 2k is a drop in the bucket.
Plus the fact you practicing on public road, take it to the track before you get someone or yourself killed.

Well most "racing" cars are modded to be lighter. Dump your heavy replica wheels and the chrome accents. It's just added weight, lol.
The way i read your racing comments is that you're a moron endangering others on open roads, sorry.
Ask yourself why would a company sponsor your slow car and an inexperienced (thus slow...) driver versus an already build and competitive car driven by a good driver that knows what he's doing.
Where would you race? AutoX? road racing? Time Attack? Endurance? Under what rules? in what series? Barring autoX, of which i know very little... your 2000$ in aesthetic mods are just the tip of the iceberg. Good luck setting up a competitive car with less than 40k $.
Lightweight flywheel and clutch? are you sure the rules you're going to be sanctioned by allow it? real world racing isn't forza 4.
I see an issue...
oh wait, two!
Why in the world would you post about RACING sponsors in the exterior subforum? Race cars are often ugly and with parts held on by zipties... lmao

then you don't want to know how much I've spent.
Just one of my Bumpers ALONE worth 1.6K already. Yeah. That's right. and my neighbor broke it. No problem. I have another one from another company in Japan worth about the same.
Oh did I told you I gone thru 3 Mazdaspeed bumpers already?
2K ? pfffFFFFFFF ?
Floor your car every stop light does NOT mean you're racing.
I'm on the track years ago.
Practice on some nice roads? what you think this is? Initital D ? it's a cool anime and it's based on the Drift King own story. but even he said you should do it on a track only.
Sorry, you still have 232 hp. it doesn't matter what year you have. No idea why? then you should know a bit more of the car's history before you spill more bullshit.
most important is ... do you even need it ?
Clutch? for ? do you even know what you're talking about ?
Turbo ...
First off I wanna tell you nobody would sponsor your ******* car except your parents.
I usually treat all RX8 owners as friends, but this is probably the first exception, and probably the first time I don't want to have the same car as you.

2K and he think he deserves a "sponsor" LOL
like i said the only sponsor he has is his parents. and I have a feeling they already "sponsored" him his car and that 2K and insurance and gas already ... that's why he needs "more sponsors" LMAO

I couldn't resist to respond...
What type of "circuit" racing? I am lucky enough to have what I would call a "Real" RX8 racecar for "circuit" racing and I can assure you that what the others have said is 100% accurate. Everything from knowing what class & rules your planning for NOW as you start to do these mods, knowing that weight is your single most important "mod" you can do to your car, knowing about that 239# and how to read a dyno graph, and that you will need to add at least one zero to your 2K to be competitive in amatuer "circuit" aka road racing, oh and to get sponsors you probably need to get some TV time... Just as an FYI Grand-Am Continental Challenge costs more than 2K for an entry fee... PLUS an FIA lic for driver and entrant.
Lots to think about before even attempting sponsorship. I have seen plenty of people spend a ton of time (which is often $$) and forget that they need a car/crew first.
Feel free to check out my website (just a simple site nothing fancy) and my facebook photo albums to get an idea of a Road Racing RX8. link to both is in my signature.
Good luck and if you get any lucky breaks include me in them for 250K we could race 1 season in Grand-AM Continental series! My car is 100% legal and ready to go for it.
