don't make me repeat myself i.e. I was questioning the leather fabric, not the seat itself
the typical race seat fabric tends to be grippy and this adds to the holding capability, it's not just the side bolsters

I was referring to the durability. Most cloth or suede racing seats i see in other cars are torn and stained. Just trying to avoid that down the road.
As for the tampering with airbag laws. I have no idea and i dont really care. I live in Oklahoma we dont seem to care about much that other states pitch a fit about.

It's funny because I was just about to post about the Airbag sensor being on and how to pass a inspection. Team, didn't you have Recaro Pole Position? Did you ever figure a way to trick the sensor or no?

The forum took a dump , I fixed that last night
the fixed back seat caused a lot of problems with codrivers; different body sizes, different seat back angle preferences, etc. so I'm looking at the Bride Cuga Type HL. I hate to spend that for seats, but they only weigh 10 lbs which is exceptional for a reclining seat. If I move to the SP or SM class category all I'll need to do is drop off the STX adder weight

I am considering the purchase of the exact same seats, in leather but in black since I have black interior. Seeing your pics just confirmed it. These are what I will buy when I have enough money saved up.

The lightest adjustable backed seat I've been able to find is 25lbs BEFORE rails. I have a bunch of email exchanges with Tees and Sparco to confirm weights. The fact of the matter is that most of the nice adjustables are closer to 30lbs before rails
Let me know if you find something lighter Team. I'm hoping to find seats that I can daily drive on, but some of the airbag talk has been making me doubt that plan...
Edit: Might as well just post the weights I know:
Then after someone cleared up that the rail counts in the 25lb minimum for STX
