Is it legal to remove the trunk liner in SCCA Solo II STU?

i just acquired an MS rear strut bar from some awesome people and i dont think i want to cut holes in my trunk liner, also making it very difficult to adjust my rear struts.

Is it legal to remove the trunk liner in SCCA Solo II STU?

thanks!

no, you can only trim it the minimum amount neccessary to accommodate the strut bar mounting

note that my rear strut bar comes with the trimmed trunk side liners

I think if you search somebody else posted pics on one of the forum areas here. I just copied what he did. You install the bar mounts and then use an exacto or carpet knife to slit the liner around the bar mounting tabs

here's a pic I posted of the battery mount that you can see the Mazdaspeed rear bar mounted with the mount tabs protruding through the liner

looks very nice! ive seen installs like that before, problem for me is that to adjust my struts i have to do it from the top, inside the trunk. if i install my bar like that, i would have to remove the bar in order to adjust the struts

that's one of the reasons why my rear shocks have the adjusters at the lower end
