http://solo2.com/eventpage.asp?eid={26097809-8E94-44AB-82CA-32FC900A671D}

Really it is just a practice/instruction day.
Anybody from socal gonna make it?

Adn why are my html codes OFF in this section? Now everyone has to go through the laborious task of "copy/paste" to see the web page

For the guys that did not read the flier. It is a ladies school, they hold one each year. I know many of you drive like girls, or slower, so you should be able to go.... But the idea is to keep all the creepy guys out so women will want to come, you know who you are.

Just got back. The ladies had a great time. It was a practice session, but they still had the clock runnin.
My girl in a Toyota MR-s with coilovers on street tires had a 71.126sec best lap.
The other MR-s with intake,exhaust,cpu,coilovers and race rubber with an experienced driver got a 70.0??.(almost under 70) But I was very impressed. My girl set a good time for her car.
The men got 2 laps at the end of the day to see if they could better ther girls time. I got a DNF and a 70.976. I WIN!!!

I dont know, that 2 was one of the fastest cars there. ( aside from the Berry family mobiles ) The course designer set up the cones to make it a slower, multiple slalom event. That little 2 changes direction super fast now. Cheap adjustable coilovers FTW!!! Dropped that thing to the floor and tightened everything up . . . it worked great.

So your 2 was one of the quickest cars at a ladies school. Bring it to a Sunday race and say the same thing.

Ulllose, where does the new series MR2 fit in? And with that, we already know that coilovers kicks them out and into what class.....STU? STS?

For sure, the field may not have been stacked, But I was impressed with this little MR2. I may just have to start prepping it for next year. Then the question is . . . who is gonna be driving it?

So I am off to do a little research on the "CSP" class that you speak of. Then I will be back with tons of questions.

BTW Isley . . . . . You ever drive/race a mazda 6?

Search for the Rod McGeorge/Tim Aro/Donnie Barns CSP Toyota MR-S... That is the fastest, really only, setup one out there. You can get pretty sick with it and spend a lot if money. If done right they can keep up with the Miata/MX-5.

Driven a Mazda 6, never raced one.

Cool. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is still in the 'pipe dream' phase. But with a few bucks, it could be a fun hobby. With several bucks, I know I could be competitive. But is there a particular class that would take advantage of this cars design? Or is it stuck in a sea of miatas?
