Ladies-Only Event 11/24/2007

.

Razz1 11-08-2007 10:19 AM

Why? I'm not a lady.

eviltwinkie 11-08-2007 10:27 AM

Two things...

Someone is really desperate to get some and so put on a ladies only event...

And...we need video cause there's gonna be a whole lotta crashin...

Flame on...

rglbegl 11-08-2007 10:56 AM

All I know is my G/F is gonna be driving her car there along with several of her friends in their rice mobiles. (mr2's and team integra)

And eviltwinkie ; the person putting this on is a girl. So if she is desperate to get some . . . . .

But I do plan on bringing the video camera

Razz1 11-08-2007 11:59 AM

Time for Erica and Michelle to show up.

ULLLOSE 11-08-2007 12:08 PM

For the guys that did not read the flier. It is a ladies school, they hold one each year. I know many of you drive like girls, or slower, so you should be able to go.... But the idea is to keep all the creepy guys out so women will want to come, you know who you are.

Heh...I'm just harpin cause they are better than me...

I got my ass handed to me at the last kart day we had by my friends wife...

Smack talking is all I have left to cover up the pride I no longer have...

In my defense...her lap times were in the top three out of 12....

rglbegl 11-12-2007 10:29 AM

My wife would BE ALL OVER THIS!!!!

She is going to be in CA December 21-31.... anything then?

rglbegl 11-22-2007 08:54 PM

Late December they dont do much. Holidays and all that. . .
But you do have an SCCA chapter there. You are Maui, right? . . . http://www.mauiscca.org/

We just installed Coilovers in Stephs car, So it is on now!!!!
We still need some RX representation.

Kane 11-23-2007 12:38 AM

No - we live of Oahu; but I'll check it out more when I get home.

rglbegl 11-24-2007 08:39 AM

OMG it is too early to be driving.

rglbegl 11-24-2007 07:49 PM

Just got back. The ladies had a great time. It was a practice session, but they still had the clock runnin.
My girl in a Toyota MR-s with coilovers on street tires had a 71.126sec best lap.
The other MR-s with intake, exhaust, cpu, coilovers and race rubber with an experienced driver got a 70.0??.(almost under 70) But I was very impressed. My girl set a good time for her car.
The men got 2 laps at the end of the day to see if they could better ther girls time. I got a DNF:icon_no2: and a 70.976. I WIN!!!

you guys are racing the wrong car Beagle.....you should be in the 8, not a 2.

rglbegl 11-26-2007 04:42 PM

I dont know, that 2 was one of the fastest cars there. ( aside from the Berry family mobiles ) The course designer set up the cones to make it a slower, multiple slalom event. That little 2 changes direction super fast now. Cheap adjustable coilovers FTW!!! Dropped that thing to the floor and tightened everything up . . . it worked great.

So your 2 was one of the quickest cars at a ladies school. :icon_no2: Bring it to a Sunday race and say the same thing.

Ulllose, where does the new series MR2 fit in? And with that, we already know that coilovers kicks them out and into what class.....STU? STS?

Interesting....Beagle, just an FYI, Casey and I will be in CSP next year with his project Miata. You interested in coming out and playing around with us? Even though none of us will be in 8's, it may still be fun :)

For sure, the field may not have been stacked, But I was impressed with this little MR2. I may just have to start prepping it for next year. Then the question is . . . who is gonna be driving it?

So I am off to do a little research on the "CSP" class that you speak of. Then I will be back with tons of questions.

BTW Isley . . . . . You ever drive/race a mazda 6?

Search for the Rod McGeorge/Tim Aro/Donnie Barns CSP Toyota MR-S... That is the fastest, really only, setup one out there. You can get pretty sick with it and spend a lot if money. If done right they can keep up with the Miata/MX-5.

Driven a Mazda 6, never raced one.

Cool. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is still in the 'pipe dream' phase. But with a few bucks, it could be a fun hobby. With several bucks, I know I could be competitive. But is there a particular class that would take advantage of this cars design? Or is it stuck in a sea of miatas?
