Harness lap belt mounts?

Ideally I'd like to replace the two rear seat mount bolts with eyebolts and then connect the lap belt there with snap ends, but I can't find anything definite on eyebolts available with M10x1.25 threaded ends (the seat mount bolt thread size/type).

Saw some past posts that suggested that the Takata belt eyebolts fit here, but they only list M10 on their site, not the thread type. All the M10 eyebolts I've seen so far have 1.5 threads, not 1.25.

Anybody know of anything?

Have the head cut off the eye bolt and welded to the head of an oem bolt?

I have excellent welding at my disposal, but wouldn't even consider that idea

it can be done other ways; brackets with holes etc, just that the eyebolt is clean if I can locate the right one

I have that same size on my skyline but I think the eye bolts are 7/16's or something around that range. I'll call the place I got them when the company in Texas wakes up.

the 7/16-20 is the thread size/type where the OE belt mounts. While one is on the outer rocker rail, the other is on the inner OE seat rail, or in my case it was transferred to the aftermarket Kirkey seat as our rules require maintaining it.

Not ideal IMO, but in one thread someone used that eyebolt on the rocker rail for the outside point and then a bracket on the seat mount bolt for the inside point.

I'd prefer the M10-1.25 eyebolts if I can find them

OK never mind then, I was in your same boat I couldn't find them either. When I got my car from Japan they had just welded a loop to the bolts.

I haven't seen them either. Next step was looking for some sort of tab that would go under the bolt washer style and angle out enough to hook on to.

Thats the ONLY M10x1.25 eye bolts i found

EDIT:

If you have a die you could make your own with unthreaded eyebolts

$41 each in Tulsa, OK at some chain retailer, no reply from Takata but I think they may be 1.25 thread and only $9 each retail

Mark, I used standard metric eye bolts at the front bolt of the seatbelt "runner" on the outboard side, and the seat pivot bolt on the inboard side. I use clip in harness ends, although I usually leave the belt in the car, toss the outboard camlock end into the back floorboard, and tuck the buckle end down between the seat cushion and transmission tunel on the inboard side. It may not be 100% optimal, but it's worked just fine for me the last 3.5 years.

Is it possible to run belts without totally messing up your interior? I would really like to run a dual purpose car.

The local shop where I've been doing my serious work had the short 7/16"-20 eye bolts and I'm just going to make them work. It's not worth the usual hassle of trying to dig through dime a dozen worthless resellers who don't have the slightest f'ing clue about the products they're selling.
