It's a Mazda podium sweep in New Jersey. 1-2-3 for the SpeedSource RX-8's. #70 - #68 - #69 and #41 Dempsey Racing in 4th. Increased points leaders for drivers, teams, and manufacturers. Oh hell yea!!!

Bomarito really came charging hard in those last couple of laps...............what was he running 4th with like 3 laps to go? Speedsource 1, 2, 3.
Yeah, we shouldn't forget Dempsey Racing finishing 4th.

Just trying to figure out where I will park my Foose R3?

Thanks for reminding me to enter. I'd rather have the trip to Miller than the car though, I'm not a big fan of the design.

Big time congrats to Speedsource!! They played out a perfect strategy.
I would like to single-handedly give myself the credit for Bomarito's great last stint as I was by the pits when he got in- And I egged him on all fan-boy style. He gave me a little thumbs up before he got in the car. It was pretty sweet.

Absolutely awesome to be there and witness a sweep.

There was a great group of rotor-heads showing their cars there too.

Now that the field has caught up I think they should take off the weight penalty on the Mazda cars!

I was thinking the same thing at the end of the race. The Vettes and Camaros seemed to be on a level playing field with the 8. Maybe even had a bit of an advantage.

I've been wondering if I was the only one who doesn't like the Foose RX-8. It looks like Chip Foose just took his typical hot rod/muscle car style and slapped it on an RX-8, which is nothing remotely like a hot rod or a muscle car in design. I don't like the color scheme and I really don't like the wheels. That's not stopping me from entering the competition for every single race, though!

They are not going to add weight, although I think Grand-Am is going to impuond the #70 car and look at the motor. It was a great weekend though for Mazda, great pit strategy by Gerry, David and Markus.

If the yellow had not come out, Jeff and Emil would have won the race. Also, you guys forgot that both the #68 and #70 cars got drive thru penalties and that made the podium even more impressive!

Can't wait for Watkins Glen, should be another great race and finish for Mazda!

Why would they pull the 70 and look at the motor? That was just a case of he was on newer tires.

I thought all three had drive thru penalties, or at least for sure 3 of the top 4 did.

Yeah, I don't like the Foose design that much either, but I will enjoy driving it!

Grand-Am wants to make sure everything is fair, they've added weight, cut the RPMS, so they are going to make sure the motor is till at the levels prescribed by Grand-Am.

Despite the added weight and cut RPMs, the cars are still fast. The GM guys and Porsche guys are still whining that the cars are still fast, even though the Porsche guys can run the 3.8L and the Camaros dropped 150 pounds of weight.

Yeah, I thought you were just making that statement due to the positions picked up late in the last race, and I think that was mainly tires. You didn't say all RX8's, but singled out the SS 70.
