um, before you even start modifying the car...
What class do you want to run the 8 in? BS, BSP, or STU
Different mods will kick you into different classes. Drive the car stock first and learn to drive it. Once you get comfortable with the car, then begin to change it. Now if you are bent on buying something, I suggest the Front Sway Bar as this mod is allowed in all of the classes and will make a very good improvement on handling. Tanabe, RB, MS, and Whiteline make very good examples of Front Sways and several members on this board can help you to decide which is best.
Remember in AutoX it's Driver, Tire, Alignment, Pressure, then mods. (or at least that's my hierarchy
