Anyone using the Racing Beat Race Exhaust??

I just want to know if it is a single outlet or a dual outlet exhaust. Couldnt find any specifics or pictures to see if it was for sure or not. Looks to be single but want to make sure that it is before I purchase it.

thanks

It's a single out, on the passenger side, turned down instead of exiting through the bumper cover.

The soon-to-be released Corksport single-sided exhaust is supposedly lighter, but you have to trim the exhaust shroud.

One of the good things about the Racing Beat unit is the down turned exhaust tip...it helps reduce the noise.....with a regular exit it will likely be too loud

A lot of track days have 90-92dB sound limits...every little bit helps

Yes, they did say the single is a "little" louder than their dual, which I use with a resonated/Davesport mid-pipe. That setup is fairly loud, but I've never had a problem at SCCA events. But, with a straight pipe, I'm sure it would get quite loud.

If you expect the turndown to help get that exhaust below 92dB then you're on crack. It is loud as hell.

Believe me...it helps .....you can't do it without some resonators in the midpipe though. I have some custom ones coming to try and lower it a bit more than it is with the single resonator on it now. With a HJS CAT and 2 12" "special" resonators I think it should be good. Should know in a week or so when all the bits get here

LOL.....We used the same resonators I ordered on our FC racecar with a 3" exhaust..and managed to get it under 90dB...that is down from about 96 or so like it was before. I have high hopes it will work.....The resonators don't do much for the idle noise..but with higher flows they quiet the sound down a lot

It doesnt help actually quite the exhaust it just sends the sound away from the pick up that the sanctioning body uses to measure sound levels.

When i was racing my formula mazda just turning the exhaust outlet away from the pickup i went from 103.8 Dbs to 91Db. It does make a big difference as opposed to just having a pipe shoot straight out the back.

The RB Race exhaust seems like it's louder inside the car than outside the car. Never any problems staying below SFRs 95db (when they actually check) but my ears are shot any time there's an event 2 or more hours away.

The only time I've thought the exhaust was loud outside the car was when I was standing 5 feet away from the back of the car while it was on the dyno.

FYI, that's the RB exhaust with a BHR resonated mid w/cat.
