Tire Rack calls it "Max Performance", one step down from "Extreme performance"R-S3's which I'm sure are way stickier, but if I'm only testing my car between the road, and me, I'm not running racing tires just to puff up my chest, and I can afford $2k worth of tires every 3-6 months.

So what is your sloppy sidewall hot psi?

If you are not tracking it, it doesn't matter. I did a couple laps with them and I was extremely disappointed with them. They felt not much better than my fuel saving tires while not improving my time much.

If you want a street tire that is good for track get the Hankook RS-3, no its absolutely not a DOT-R compound ....

Yeah, I like to track them (see my photo gallary spread posted by 9krpmrx8).

I know it's not saying much, but they beat my SPT's by a lot, and I can leave them pumped up until the next track day.

I've got my cambers at approx -1.7 all around, ran in the rain last month for two runs, and dry for two runs.

The Hankook V12's were so-so at 44 hot front/ 41 hot rear, and when I pumped them up to 46 hot front/ 43 hot rear, I started getting a lot more traction in the wet and then the dry.

So if you've never run the V12's with 46 hot front on a room temp day, then you don't know what they can do.

Since 46 was when they came in they might even work better at 48 hot front, and 45 hot rear which will be tested on my Sept. track day ( My rules are: I don't track my 8 if the ambient is over 90 deg f- bad for the car, tires, and me).

Just wanted to thank everyone for the advice/suggestions. Class was great on Saturday and the event went well today.

We ended up with 42 in the front and 37 in the rear. Less than that in the front was rolling the tire too much and the 5 lb offset kept the car fairly balanced as long as we were patient on exits.
