Yeah i believe - with similar mods my 8 was a lot quicker than any stock 8s . I was also trapping around 100mph with my taller 3rd gear JDM g/box - it does make quite a difference not having to make that last shift ....

I'm glad I'm seeing some good numbers out of rx8's. I was beginning to lose hope. Everyone I've seen lay down times in rx8's have all been in the mid to high 15's. I haven't gotten a weekend off in almost two years to take my own car to the track and see what I could do with it, though.

Definitely congrats. That is definitely respectable time or sure.

Any plans on making dyno... interested to see what kind of power is it making ?
Cold temperature does help a lot (if u go from 80 to 60 degrees) ... my best trap was 99.61 mph so far, but 60' killing me!

i wonder if raising my redline to 10k rpm would let me get past the finish line. 9.5k is seriously less than 100 feet.

thoughts?

it would be diminishing returns though, wouldnt it? as my car got faster it would work less and less. eventually i'd have to set it back to 9.5k and then take a hit in time with shifting if i wanted to advance any more.
