Not altogether sexy or fun, but I need one. She's howling at me, and a bat cat seems like even less fun.s There's a couple of affordable ones on eBay, but I'd just as soon deal with one of you guys.

Have a great Labor Day weekend!

When i installed my high flow cat with 3" midpipe no resonator I got 2 CELS reguarding the secondary air pump. And i recently noticed that the car would make a high pitch noise during start up and then turn off after 30 seconds, I was abit concerned but from what i was reading on the forums with aftermarket midpipes the secondary air pump isn't necessary. Its used to put air into the exhaust system, most people with aftermarket systems remove it completely. I got a scan tool removed the code, and it never came back. Just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in.

You gotta put it back on for inspection, though, don't you?

The air pump code will come back dont worry. Its part of the emission control, if you do a clean uninstall inspections tech's wont notice its missing.

it only runs on cold starts to mix fresh air in with the rich mixture coming out.

You can put a broken one in it place just show up to inspection hot and they wont notice it not working or not.
