I just bought this RX-8. I don't like the jet engine sound of the K&N and I want to trade someone for a stock airbox and whatever I need to swap it over. I am thinking a straight swap is fair, but because the k&n is a more expensive piece, maybe you pay shipping for both.

If you're in Maryland, let's meet and help each other with the swap.

 

where in Maryland are you located? I'm coming from Philadelphia, PA and might not mind the drive down.

I have a modded intake with revi ram air duct, the intake box has deleted side walls for better sound and flow and also has a screen delete with a high flow knn air filter.

 

That looks great, but I got the stock box in there now and I love that it's much more quiet!

But yeah your engine looks amazing!
