Just FYI most people don't give those away; they go for ~$250-$300 quite easily as new ones are > $1000

i know what they sell for I've seen them for sale before, that's why i posted if anyone has theirs gutted and they ain't using it, just sitting around taking dust and want to give them away, im currently under a project and I don't think wasting $800 in 2 or 3 used catalyc converters is a smart investment until the project actually is 100% legit with donated parts, if it suceeds I know then to invest in buying them.

You got that right 100% that's why I clearly stated IF YOU're GIVING AWAY... I'm not in a rush, but sure am very positive to accomplish the project if it turns out successful...

Please note I'm not asking to BUY a good cat, I'm asking for someone to donate their gutted used RX8 catalytic converter if laying around doing nothing and taking dust somewhere in a garage

If I were to explain the project it will lead me to another thread of why, how, is it possible, who are participating etc I want to keep it simple for now

Remember I have a few owners willing to use their cars for the project I have in mind. But no gutted used RX8 Catalytic Converter yet only sale offers.

 

too many people not understanding what the OP is looking for. yes, a working cat goes for $250+ on here. a gutted or failed OEM cat goes for about $20-$50 so it's not unreasonable to think someone might have one lying around that wants to do a forum member a solid. it's about as useful as an OEM exhaust which sometimes fetches $50 but a lot of people give them away to do a favor for another member and get it off their hands.

I have atleast 8 private messages with sale offers between those prices, I just hope someone comes accross this board and actually offer me theirs just like I requested earlier, it's not like i'm putting a gun into someone's head hahaa lol but it will be awesome if I can get my hands on at least 3 used cats
