FS: Upgraded Starter

SOLD

For sale is an upgraded starter off a '04 I'm working on. It is a 6 Speed MT Starter.

Unsure of how many miles on the starter, but car has roughly 70k.
However... judging from the starter's condition (looks very new) I'd guess at between 20-25k on this little guy.

Pics with updated part number below.

Asking for $216 Shipped to US via USPS flat rate box.
($200 + $6 (paypal) + $10 shipping)

Price is firm.

Located in Sunny Northeast Ohio.

(sorry about cell phone pics... can take better ones if needed. )

Thanks Jon!

Winter is coming.... does your non-upgraded starter have what it takes to beat the cold?

Free installation if you choose to come pick it up!

There have been a number of upgraded starter inquiries of late Vyn (have tried to link all I've seen) so no idea why they haven't jumped on this.

Thanks for the referrals. Its always hard to spend money on parts that don't add performance... easy_e1 had one an upgraded starter for sale @ 220 and it went. If someone heard the non upgraded starter and this start side by side, they would have no problem putting out the $$ for sure.

But the upgraded starter Does add performance [assured starting]. All '04 and early '05 new owners should check the TSB for upgraded starter (and battery) applicability.

Does the upgraded starter really make that much difference?

YES, which is why it was a free upgrade (along with an Interstate battery) for 04's and early 05's if the TSB was requested under B-to-B warranty.

My latter '05 build came with the uprated starter and battery and all earier build warranties have now expired (shame on the prior owners for not taking advantage of the TSB). I no longer see the related TSB linked on Rosenthal's site: http://www.finishlineperformance.com....php?pageid=11 but someone here may still have it if interested.

Note that TSB's are not recalls (latter aka Mazda Special Programs; MSP), but many are free if the condition is met or service specifically requested.

If you have an 04 or early 05, and ever brought it in for starting problems of any kind, they should have changed your starter.
The previous owner of mine had problems, and they changed his battery but not the starter which they SHOULD have done. Anyway, mazda now tells me they won't do it retroactively.
