Trim piece for turbo timer or boost controller. I had my boost controller installed in this location. The trim piece is flat black to match the color of the boost controller/timer. Please note: The 1st pic is not mine, I just used it so people can have a better understanding which piece this is.

I did mine like that as well except I have the controller sticking out a quarter of an inch and used hot glue around it behind the plate to secure it in place.

Mike your trim plate looks more precise than the one in the picture.
