Hi all,

Just gauging some interest on Amp Shelf's. I built one myself and love it. It fits flush in the trunk depression of the 8. I have my amp bolted to it and my tire repair kit fits under there too. I was gonna see if anyone was interested in having one built. Given the time, effort, planning, and materials I could probably make them for about $40.00 a piece plus shipping (or local pickup around Toronto). Price may change if I see a high demand.

Please note the shelf in these pictures is the original design. New shelf's will have a much better carpet match around the edging. Caps can also be made but may reduce the airflow to the amp. The plywood on top is also recycled, expect new plywood on a sales model. Also, the pictures below do not show the installed product. If you look carefully my amp is just lying in the trunk, it has not yet been secured to the shelf. Also, the wires have not been run under the carpet yet. I am waiting for my Fatmax Dynamat trunk kit to come in.----> This is a must for bass fans. Our cars rattle horribly above the trunk in the rear and this (I'm hopeing...) will do wonders.

I like the Amp shelf because it elevates the amp off the bottom of the trunk. Anyone who has weathered a snow storm knows that our stupid trunks push a bunch of snow into the trunk when your trying to grab your snow brush. The shelf protects the amp and keeps it elevated if the snow melts. There is also a couple slots in the front and back of the shelf to put bottles of liquor, snow brushes, etc. The carpet I get has a pretty good match as you will see tonight. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I'm also open to changing the design for you. If you want one without notches, or one that fits more flush on either side let me know. I can also make it to accomodate different sized amps.
