These coilovers were developed in conjunction with FatCatMotorsports. FatCatMotorsports has provided custom suspension to SCCA National winning competitors. (Automotive Suspension Experts | Fat Cat Motorsports | FCM Elite shock absorbers) They are valved for 7kg springs in front and 5 kg springs in the rear. They also have the same travel as stock; possibly the only coilover you can find that has stock amounts of travel.

They started life as brand new Bilstein dampers that were shipped to FatCat to be revalved. The development for these coilovers was extensive: two years were spent perfecting these coilovers. The damping curve has been adjusted four different times and the spring rate has been changed once, always with the goal of providing better handling with a smoother ride. These coilovers are amazing in that they provide unbelievable handling while maintaining a very good ride. My friend compared them favorably to the suspension that comes in his Porsche 911.

The last service for these coilovers was 8,000 miles ago when all the seals were refreshed and a slight adjustment was made in the damping curve to provide a better ride. Since I sold my RX-8, I'm putting up for sale my custom Bilstein coilovers. Out of all the mods on my RX-8, these are undoubtedly my favorite and I'll be sad to have to see them go.
