ganseg would be willing to send you a copy, (he posted a few post up from your), the cooling mod uses a different set of relays to allow your fans to turn on sooner and run more in order to maintain, i belienve, lower coolant temps thus lower running temp.

Although the main objective of this product is to lower engine operating temperatures for all RX-8's, other benefits may include:
* Extended Engine Life - Lower engine temperatures extend engine coolant seal life.
* Better air-conditioning effeciency by lowering a/c condenser temperatures.
* Better Engine Compression - The Operating Temps of a Rotary Engine will have a direct effect on engine compression. The higher the operating temperatures, the lower the engine compression. "

Sorry it took a couple of days to get back with you my internet went down. I mentioned this mod to my tech at the dealer I go to and he was very familiar with it. Said it was real popular a couple of years ago but he saw them alot because they would set an check engine light. He said not always but alot of them did. So Im thinking more and more bout the racing beat flash, sad it cost $300 just cause I want to lower the fans to match my RE-Medy Thermostat. Im sorry but Im gonna pass on it.

I installed mine a week ago and I am happy with it. I don't see what about the mod would cause a cell.
When I used to get stuck in stop and go traffic, my water temp would get up to 220. Now it stays in the 180-195 range. We have been having 80+ degrees F temps.
