Yeah, that's the X-2 Zip Zap, as you can see from the grill and wheels. My brother gave it to me as a gift and it was my only RX-8 for a few months there. I was up to two for a while, but now with the buyback I'm down to just the one again. I posted this old photo I had taken over the summer to remind me of better days.
Oh yeah, that spoiler popped right off with no problem (I must have crashed my Zip Zap one time too many). Other than that, I'm "driving stock". I hope your black one turns out good.
I wonder if anyone has Zaino'd their Zip Zap...

Hey, here's a wicked idea for someone to do to their full-scale 8...
Drill a hole in your rear window and run a heavy gauge plastic-coated wire for a good length into the air. Guaranteed to turn heads, especially if you can figure out a way to get it going without seeing the driver behind the wheel.
The finishing touch would be the license plate:
