Nice. I've heard it both ways. Im just a little nervous that I might **** away $200. It would be nice to see a poll on metallic tint to see if the problem is more minor than people make it out to be.

Redpit,

Nice car! The only other black car I've seen looking that nice...has gotta be Jedi's! He's a big Zaino freak too! I've gotta try that stuff. I just use Kragen waxes. I'm trying the Turtle Wax Carnuba Cleaner for now. But by summer, I think I'm going to get me some Zaino, too. Does it take long?

I've noticed most Zaino guys use multiple coats...something like 3-7 coats. That'd take me all day and night...how easy is it to use?

Yeah I know Ngo, but I can't find anybody local that uses ceramic. Al the tinters around here seem to give just one option and that is metallic. Ill have to do some more local searching and find somebody.

Phantom it did take me a while. About 6 hours or so, but that is because the first time you use Zaino you have to go through some initial steps that you wont have to in the future (i.e. dawn wash and clay bar). My understanding is that the more coats your car gets through the years the better it looks. So far I have 2 coats of Z5 and 2 of Z2. Im probably going to put on another coat of each tomorrow. Also it is very simple to use. Not too much elbow grease needed at all, just as you said numerous coats can be time consuming. Also I forgot to mention that my car feels so unbelievable soft now. When you place your hand on my car it feel like it sinks in a 1/4 inch. Weird, but awesome. I can say just as long as the duration of protection is good, I will never go back to carnuba waxes.

ight yo! Here is the zaino web site:
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ory_Code=Zaino
I bought the ultimate package. I also purchased 20 microfiber towels, two wash mits (one for wheels and one for body), dawn, and a spray bottle. So in total I did spent quite a bit, about $150. If you already have high quality leather products, then I would just buy the total protection package. The kits come with detailed instructions. Goes something like this for first time.

1) Used a light abrasive race glaze to take out any water spots, sap, etc. (Zaino does make an abrasive cleaner now, but the zaino kits are non-abrasive and therefore due not take off these type of things).
2)Wash with Dawn (dry)
3)Clay bar the car (dry)
4)Wash car with Z7 (dry)
5)Polish with Z5
6)Use Z6 gloss enhancer
7)Polish with Z5
8)Use Z6
8)Polish with Z2
9)Use Z6
10)Polish with Z2
11)Z6

Finally done! Now do what I did. Sit back have a beer and bask in the glory of the best looking finish you've ever seen on your ride.

Thanks for the info. But damn. Steps 1 through 4 would take me all day. How'd you find time to do 11 steps?

I've got a Zaino kit I'm gonna use too, but I thought using the clay bar would cover what you did in step 1... ?

Yeah it does take a while. Even when I was writing the steps I thought to myself that seems like a lot. It goes by fast though and it shouldnt take you more than a day. It was worth it for my car.

I thought the same thing. Clay bar will get rid of minor stuff, but any major sap build-up or major water spots needed something stronger. Zaino's clay bar is also very very mild. Im sure a more aggresive clay would work.

Never fear, the Zaino Master is here
Damn, Zaino should pay me royalties for all the business I send them...

Speaking of which...I'm about to order some of Zaino's new Z-CS Clear Seal.
Redpit, have you tried it yet? If not, I can report back in a few weeks with my thoughts on this new product.

The only opinion that I have heard on it is that "it is oily".

And the left pic from their website is flippin amazing. Is that an all chrome car?:D

To anyone still wondering if you should invest in Zaino products, I highly recommend them. I used regular cheap ol' Turtle Wax paste on my first car. Certainly nothing special. Bought my Firebird and started using Zaino. OMG. Looks MUCH better... but the biggest thing... lasts MUCH longer. Well worth the extra money. After I ran out of Zaino, I bought my 8 and heard people talk about Meguier's NXT. So I bought a can of the paste because it was cheaper and right at my local Wal-Mart. VERY disappointed. Looked good when done, but lasted for what seemed like 4 or 5 days. Waste of my time. Then I received Meguier's liquid wax as a stocking stuffer last XMas. Pretty much the same results. Decided to go back to Zaino. Re-upped my supplies and went at it today. My 8 looks amazing and I'm sure it'll stick around for awhile.

On another note, the folks that run the site are extremely friendly and helpful. For fear of people scamming them, I don't want to get into the situation, but they included additional products in my order free of charge. This stuff isn't cheap, so that holds a lot of weight with me. I'm almost upset with them that they did that. I did not ask for a refund/free stuff. Just included them to maintain a good business image and insure their customers are 100% satisfied. Thanks a ton Zaino Bros., but you had my business locked in already. 10 out of 10.
