so0o0o0o .... how goes the app usage? Another update just pushed out. I noticed that sometimes pressing 'new posts' doesn't refresh the listing. fixed.

 

noticed a new bug. if you open the app and click new posts the app closes. I know exactly what the issue is and will fix asap. also the app has been submitted to the kindle app store (posting from the gfs kindle fire)

So a few people have asked if we can have facebook authentication for login ... unfortunately it doesn't look like this is possible. The way the facebook login works is that there is a application key that is designed for every app that uses the facebook api to do logins. This forum has its own public/private key. For someone to integrate facebook login to the app, they would need to know that key.

 

It has been brought to my attention that the app is having issues creating a new thread. I will investigate as soon as I get a free moment today.

 

Update went out last night to fix some issues with viewing forums.

Update also indicates which threads are sticky

There is however an issue accessing threads when manually navigating through a forum (New Posts work fine). I will fix this by the end of the night.

hey there. love the app so far. I have experienced a couple quirks, but they could just as easily be attributed to my seriously lagging and crash-prone droid charge. Anyhow, thanks for writing it!

Huge update pushed out to Play. Should be available in the next hour. Hopefully this will resolve a lot of the crashing and connection issues. FYI I am currently working on fixing the image overlap issue on ICS+ devices. Stay tuned.

Seeing as my phone is my only real source of internet when I'm away, it really comes in handy!
Only issue I've had is that it sometimes takes a few tries to press on a link for it to open. Nothing major.

Yea I hear ya on that. I am actually in the process of redoing the way threads are displayed to make it more touch friendly, stay tuned

Also, I have started the framework to be able to attach images from the phone.

The app has always occasionaly crashed and it wasn't a big deal, recently its crashing a lot and its new trick is to throw up a blue screen on the app.. the border and frame are there... but where the posts or threds should be.. bluescreen, believed it started doing this... 3-4 days ago

 

Hrmm, that's interesting. Hopefully you can sit tight a bit for the next release. So far so good in my testing, completely redone UI and the logic has been refined so there shouldn't be as many bugs.

Tried it the first month you released this and was very unstable with my HTC Amaze 4G. Decided not to use it for a few months. Tried it again a few days ago with the newest version, and I can hardly get to a specific thread and post something without it crashing.

I do appreciate the efforts though. I do wish I could use it in a more stable version.

 

Hopefully v1.1 will be nice and stable for you guys. I am pretty excited about it. Stay tuned.

This version is awesome. Love the interface, all the navigate buttons work for me, and I'm not sure if this is a new addition, but I like how I can see how many posts in a given thread are mine just from each forum's main page.
As for the phone issue, I got rid of the droid charge and now have a galaxy s4 which still encountered the same navigate issues, but now with v1.1 I haven't run into any problems at all.
