There is no 2002 Rx-7, i was wondering if the pic was a concept of the new Rx-7 model. I'm assuming thats a 99 RZ. Its not a 2001 Rx-7 bathurst because those only come in yellow. Its not a 93 thats for sure.

That FD is a '93-95. They just had it hanging on the wall like some museum. 2002 is the last year (supposedly) for RX-7's, so yes there is a 2002 7.

I hear that the RX7 wasnt gonna be stopped as a model it was just stopped as a FD, that depending on the success of the RX8 they were going to make a new RENESIS powered RX7, this is when i feel you would see a Turbo motor show its face....(not in development my (___Y___)

Actually there is a 2002 RX-7. Or perhaps I should say there are 2002 RX-7s, since the car is available in four models as a visit here will reveal.
Just because a car is not offered in North America doesn't mean it is no longer built. It's probably good to remember that the Internet is ignorant of national boundaries.
As regards 2002 being the final year for the FD, that's not an assumption I'd be making.

There's no 2002 available yet, only the 2001 Rx-7 type R Bathurst is out (probably all sold out) you can find it here www.rx7club.com
and i'm pretty aware that the FD stopped shipping in the u.s in 1995. If the Rx-8 dosen't sell good we'll probably never see another powered vehicle.

A girl I used to work with in Product Development (who took one of the voluntary redundancies Mazda was offering last year so she could get out of Hiroshima and move back to Tokyo) just took delivery of the Innocent Blue Mica RB she ordered at the end of January. Because she wanted an automatic (yeah, I know), she had to wait. The car's registered as a Heisei 14 nen model, which is the 14th year of the Heisei era, or 2002 in our calendar.
Since she didn't buy from stock on hand - which I suspect means 2001s in the case of the RX-7 - she wasn't able to get the cheap (2.9 percent) financing deal Mazda's currently offering on RX-7s and has been continuously griping about that. As if I can do anything about Japanese financing. But then she's so cute when she complains...
