Reincarnated RX8

So I went through a full tank of gas out here since the trip and everything was unloaded and I got 311.3 miles
Most of the driving was on the highway going about 75-80MPH and some city and I was able to get an average of 21.5 MPG
I know I can get a lot better but it is really hard not to get on the pedal with this engine! I tried to keep it at 70MPH for my commute today but I failed half way through because the car is too much fun. Remember the point is the "Drive" not "Point a" and "Point b"
Just the fact that I can be going 70mph then all of the sudden I can go 80 mph if my foot twitches confuses a lot of people on the highway when they see that a Beetle just smoked them

This is an awesome thread!
I saw a few pages back where you were discussing the transmission- I didn't see anybody ask you if that's the transmission that would've originally been in the car? If it is, does the more powerful motor put a big strain on it?

This build is ******* awesome.
That paint job is a disgrace to the car. Duplicolor is **** acrylic paint that you can get at kragen.
Hit up an actual auto paint shop and get a few quarts and re-do it. It could also be due to not having the right skills to do a decent paint job (I have no idea what experience you have with this).
Either that or hit up a maaco or something. They would do a decent job for cheap. (what you pay for).
#source, I work in an autobody shop.
